Born in 1990 in Hunan, grew up in Guangdong. He graduated from the Department of Chinese Painting at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, receiving a Bachelor's degree in 2012 and a Master's degree in 2015.
Growing up alongside the rise of online games, his early gaming experiences became an important source of visual and cognitive enlightenment. During his academic years, riding the wave of digitalization, he rediscovered classical paintings through the screen—high-definition reproductions that reshaped his aesthetic sensibility. While studying traditional Chinese painting, he developed a strong interest in emerging digital art and began engaging with game aesthetics. The intersection of “seeing with the mind’s eye” and “virtual vision” marked the beginning of his personal exploration in artistic language and expression.
In his practice, he fully employs the techniques of traditional Chinese painting to transcend its established aesthetics, expanding both its subjects and expressive dimensions. Realism and simulacrum, direct viewing and screen view, brushwork and modules — the syntax of traditional gongbi painting and the grammar of video games are mutually translated. Through this process, painting as a technical system detaches from its original cultural context and transforms into a generative rule within a virtual world. Life and game intertwine within artistic conception; the flesh and the virtual overlap in perception. Ancient visual vocabularies evoke vivid perceptual experiences, generating a world where the past and present, the real and the virtual coexist — reflecting the evolving visual consciousness of the post-internet era.
